Leadership Council

information
The formation of our
leadership council is to bring our communities leaders together to
assist us in moving our organizations mission and vision forward.
Each Leadership Council
member is carefully selected for their passion in making our community a
better place, their willingness to invite others to learn about positive
programs impacting our community and their commitment to finding
solutions.
Each member of the council
will be asked to attend a point of entry tour of our facilities to learn
first hand about the work Pet Savers does in the Spokane community.
For years non-profits have
operated on the ideas of fundraising as the primary way to meet their
mission. Today we are leaving these old ways behind and are moving to a
new way of thinking.
The ASPCA will be offering a
session on leading from fund-raising to friend-raising . Our
senior staff, board and
leadership council members have been invited to attend this training at
no cost to them or our organization. The session will take place on
Thursday 6/18 from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Argonne Library. During this
2 hour work session we will visit about leadership expectations, moving
from a mind set of fundraising to a focus on friendraising and how we as
leaders can use the point of entry and ask event to help Pet savers meet
their mission to save more lives.
After attending the Point of
Entry Tour and information session each council member will be ready to
begin inviting family, friends, business associates and community
leaders to attend a Pet Savers point of entry tour. With every tour
there will be more members of our community who understand the
importance of Pet Savers. Some may want to get more involved others may
be happy just to have more information.
Later this year Pet Savers
will host their first ever Best Friends Breakfast where each Leadership
Council Member along with other supporters will serve as Table Hosts
and invite no less than 9 friends to join them for a one hour breakfast
where they will be asked to make a financial commitment to Pet Savers.
It is suggested that each
Table Host invite between 15 and 20 people to attend the point of entry
tour in order to have 9 well informed guests be available to attend the
breakfast event.
All questions will be
answered during the information session on 6/18.
Thank you for your
commitment and support. |
